Partnership established to stimulate and facilitate the adoption of Hardware/Software HPC environments (Parallel and distributed computing in its different paradigms) for research, industrial, societal and commercial applications.

CMCC's  aim is to improve the understanding of the nature and mechanisms of climate variability, its causes and its consequences, with special attention to the Mediterranean and its interactions with the global system.

Thanks to the skills acquired by its members and associated centers, the CMCC produces scientific and technological tools and provides support to ministries, regions and provinces, as well as the private sector.

In particular, the SPACI consortium, acting as associate center, is able to provide both the necessary theoretical skills and technological support for the activities of Parallel Computing, Distributed and Grid Computing, participating in the activities of the Division of Scientific Computing and Operations (SCO).

CMCC makes available to SPACI its HPC resources.
