Partnership established to stimulate and facilitate the adoption of Hardware/Software HPC environments (Parallel and distributed computing in its different paradigms) for research, industrial, societal and commercial applications.

GRISU` (Southern of Italy GRID) is an agreement protocol between COMETA Consortium, the  COSMOLAB Consortium, the SPACI Consortium, the ENEA and the University of Naples Federico II, representing a great part of scientifical research centers in Southern of Italy.

The aim is to share, among partners, expertises, instruments and different kind of resources to creare a multi-disciplinary and distributed e-infrastructure, based on grid and cloud computing paradigm, to support scientific research, innovation and industrial competition between small and medium companies.

Processing centers are linked together through high speed network connections continuously enhanced and expanded.

GRISU` provides high value-added services respect to the state of the art in technology, by using a community of scientific and technical excellence and  a lot of resources of absolute national and international importance.

The e-infrastructure provides also services to small and medium companies, like computing and data-management facilities , promoting technology transfer and the growth of socio-economic fabric of southern Italy, following EU strategies towards the logic of cooperation networks between research institutions and companies.
